Standards, defined by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment
Authority.

The Prep to
Year 10 Program offers:
-
one-on-one instruction
-
individualized learning plans (ILP), driven by the child’s
assessed math level, style of learning and their interests
-
a self-paced progression; allowing students to work at their
own pace to maximise learning
-
individual and team goal identification for each student,
encouraged and managed by the teaching staff
-
a remedial, equivalent, extension and enrichment focus as
required by the individual student
-
a weekly one-hour session
-
initial, ongoing and varied assessments
-
for parents, comprehensive and detailed reporting which will
provide an instant snapshot of how your child is progressing
-
for each student, a working portfolio for organizing and
displaying their efforts and achievements while enrolled
with MathMates
-
worksheets and tests that are unique and tailored for each
individual student
-
a curriculum that can provide a cooperative learning
environment
-
an optional/advisable homework component, reinforcing
objectives covered during each session
-
an ICT component, reinforcing mastered objectives and
presenting the real-world application of mathematics

certificates and rewards for progress and achievement

the option to involve your child’s school

a maximum of eight students per session

Extensive effort has been given to choosing reference material
used at MathMates. Our reference material is current, relevant,
student-friendly and available for every year level.
